Privacy policy
This policy explains how Idle Springs handles information in the game and on this website.

Who to contact
For privacy questions, requests or concerns, contact Twin Yaks Studios, the publisher of Idle Springs, at hello@idlesprings.com.au.
Your game and saved progress
You don’t need to create an Idle Springs account to play. The game stores progress and preferences on your device, including upgrades, currencies, guests, memories, your Keeper’s details and choices made during guest conversations. Local recovery copies help protect your progress.
On iPhone and iPad, if you choose to create an iCloud checkpoint, your saved game is sent to Apple’s iCloud service under your Apple Account. A previous checkpoint may also be retained for recovery. Exported backups are saved or shared to the location you choose. On Android, backup import and export use the system file picker; a file is sent to a cloud-storage provider only if you choose that destination. Automatic Android cloud backup and device-to-device cloning are disabled. These optional backups are separate from the game stored on your device.
Purchases
Apple processes App Store payments on iPhone and iPad; Google processes Google Play payments on Android. Idle Springs uses purchase and transaction information to deliver purchases, recognise owned guests and restore eligible purchases. We don’t receive your full card or payment account details. Purchase and reward records may be stored on your device to prevent duplicate delivery. Purchases are managed by the store where they were made and do not automatically transfer between Apple and Google Play.
Optional ads
The game offers optional rewarded ads using Google AdMob. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may process your IP address (including approximate location), device or app identifiers, ad views and interactions, and crash and performance information. Google uses these for advertising, measurement, analytics and improving its service. Advertising identifiers are subject to applicable permissions.
Consent is requested where required. The app may prepare an ad before you choose to watch it, once the consent checks permit ad requests. You can review available consent options through Shop → Ad privacy choices. Declining to watch an ad does not remove information already processed to request or prepare it.
Read Google’s iOS advertising data disclosure, Google’s Android advertising data disclosure, and Google’s Privacy Policy for details about its handling of this information.
Notifications and photos
With your permission, the app schedules local reminders about harvests, offline coins, returning to the springs, scheduled events and eligible guest visits. These reminders are scheduled on the device; they do not require uploading your save to a notification server. You can disable notification permission in your device’s Settings.
Game photos and exported backups are shared only when you choose to save or share them. Your selected destination or service handles the content under its own privacy terms.
Optional gameplay analytics and diagnostics
If you allow analytics in the game, we use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand play time, gameplay actions, tutorial progress, purchases and technical failures. Reports use a randomly generated installation ID rather than your name or email. Device and app information may also be processed by Firebase. We do not send your saved game, conversation text or support messages through this feature.
You can turn this off in Settings. Turning it off stops future reporting and resets the local analytics identity; it does not automatically delete reports already received. If you want us to investigate or remove reports, include the Support ID shown in Settings while analytics is enabled. This identifier is specific to the installation and is not an account or a cross-device backup. Firebase analytics advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are disabled for this integration. Optional AdMob advertising has separate controls, described above.
Read Firebase privacy information for details of Google's processing. Requests and retention settings are managed through the relevant Firebase and Google Analytics services.
This website and support email
This website serves its images, fonts and video from our hosting account. It does not include advertising scripts, analytics trackers, account registration or newsletter forms. Our hosting provider may process ordinary server logs, such as IP addresses, request times and browser information, to deliver and protect the website.
When you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot problems and keep a record of the enquiry. Avoid sending sensitive information that isn’t needed for your request.
Service providers and storage
Apple provides App Store payments and optional iCloud storage. Google provides Google Play payments on Android, advertising and consent services, and optional Firebase analytics and diagnostics. Our website and email providers process information needed to deliver those services. Their processing may occur outside your country. Apple’s handling is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
Saved progress and local recovery records remain on your device until removed or replaced. Cloud checkpoints and exported files can remain after local data is removed. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve enquiries and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Provider records follow the relevant provider’s retention practices.
Your choices and requests
You can manage backups in Settings → Save & recovery, control device notification permissions, review available ad privacy choices and delete exported files from their saved location. Removing local game data does not cancel purchases or necessarily remove cloud backups.
Email us to request access to, correction of or deletion of information you have sent us, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify a request and retain information where required by law. Information held only by Apple or Google may need to be managed through those services. Depending on where you live, you may also have a right to complain to your local privacy regulator.
Children and changes
We don’t ask players to submit their age, address or contact details to play. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request its removal. Device parental controls can help manage purchases and permissions.
We may update this policy as the game or our services change. The date above shows when this page was last updated.
